[Aslug] $SOCKS-NS Error?

Hi guys.

I'm doing my first install of Linux. Have got it to a
point where RH PPP Dialer can create an interface to
my ISP (Telstra) ie dials out etc. But then there is
no incoming or outgoing traffic indicated on the
Red/Green traffic monitors and when I start Netscape I
get the following error message each time I try to
access a URL:

"Warning. Following Hosts unknown.
  home.netscape.com
  home6.netscape.com
  internic.net
Perhaps there is a problem with your name server. If
your site must use the anon-root name server you will
need to set the $SOCKS-NS environment variable to
point to the appropriate name server. It may (or may
not) be necessary to set this variable or the SOCKS
host preference to the IP address of the host in
question rather than its name."

Does anyone know what this means? Doesn anyone know
how to fix my problem?

I've set up Dialup Configoration with the Primary and
Secondary DNS. Is there anything else I need to do?

Advice much appreciated.

Cheers,

Matt Bower.
