It's not easy.  Sometimes the IP for graphics doesn't originate within
the supplier, but with some other company, and the documentation isn't
open.  RISC-V could easily go the same way if someone combines closed
graphics IP with it in a product that wins in the market.  Make sure
you select products with open IP all the way through the silicon.
