...funded by Denmark. And they're not at all subtle about it:

    [site] has been designed by the Danish Consumer Information
    Centre in co-operation with the other Nordic countries and
    provides computer users with access to free programmes as
    an alternative to expensive commercial ones like the
    Microsoft Office package and Adobe Photoshop.

    The idea is to make it easy for computer users to learn
    what open-source programmes are available and make it easy
    to download and install them.
