This month we will be heading to previous TasLUG haunt... the Brunswick Hotel. When: 6:30pm, Thursday 17 May 2018 Where: Brunswick Hotel (67 Liverpool Street, Hobart) Please let me know if you are planning to come along, even if just for a quick drink. If I hear from more than a handful of people by Tuesday that they are coming then I'll book a table. It was great to see a good turnout last month, so we can repeat that this month. SeeYa, John. PS: I've had an offer from one person to give a short 15min talk in July, so I'm thinking I'll try to arrange a venue and have a few people give some short talks (5-15mins). So if you might have something to talk about, I'd love to hear from you. After a quick straw poll on Matrix it was decided that we should head back to the Hope and Anchor. When: 6:30pm, Thursday 17 May 2018 Where: Hope and Anchor Tavern (65 Macquarie St, Hobart) So far 7 people have RSVPed and I've made a booking for 8 people under my name, 'John'. So if you have been slack and have not let me know you will be coming, there may still have a spare seat for you. SeeYa tomorrow, John. Sorry to bother the list with this, but ... er ... Given a picture of some text, http://www.pjb.com.au/tmp/fashion.jpg is there a search-engine to look up which font this is ? Given a long enough text, I could re-implement it in PostScript, but from seven letters only that would demand creativity (and time). There are a number of websites that will attempt to identify fonts by answering a series of questions about the shape of the letters. I haven?t used any for a while but they?ve worked for me in the past. e.g. http://www.identifont.com/ Cheers, Tom -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
