Hello everyone!

I’m very happy to share that PyCon AU 2026 workshops are now available for registration! That also means the Wednesday schedule is now published as well.

We have three hands-on labs lined up for you to enjoy, but each session requires specific registration to make sure we have capacity for you to sit, laptop and learn.

For full details you can read the news post, or check out the workshops page on the website.

The workshops in 2026 are:
• Build a cross-platform GUI app with Python, with Russell Keith-Magee
• Typed Python: from Zero to Hero, with Abby Mitchell
• Building Durable AI Agents with AWS Strands, MCP and Temporal, with Shubham Londhe

Visit 2026.pycon.org.au/schedule/workshops/ for all the session details, including how to register.

Workshops are free to attend for all attendees - but you still need to add them to your ticket to register for each specific workshop. There’s also a “Workshops only” ticket if you, a friend, or colleague would like to attend just the workshops on Wednesday.

We can’t wait to see you all at PyCon AU 2026 in Brisbane next month!

Cheers,
PyCon AU 2026 team
