Welcome to this prolific mailing list (!). Please don't feel ashamed of 
giving answers. In my experience, it is often from newbies that 
experienced programmers obtain answers to questions for which the 
answers were so obvious that they missed them, being so used to solving 
complex problems. The good thing about teaching yourself PHP or any 
other language is that you use your own learning techniques, which 
enables you to develop your own programming style. You will often get an 
edge in areas which some other, more experienced programmers, may not 
have particularly practiced.

So there you go, don't be shy!
