[Linux-aus] Grant decision - Write the Docs conference sponsorship

Grant application: Sponsorship of Write the Docs Australia 2026 conference

Your sponsorship request for the Write the Docs conference was discussed by
the Linux Australia Council at its meeting on 9 September 2026.  It is our
pleasure to inform you that your application was successful -
congratulations!

This grant is to sponsor the Write the Docs Australia 2026 conference at the
"First Draft" level, an amount of $1500.

Please email the Linux Australia treasurer (treasurer at linux.org.au) to
arrange payment.  When known, please contact council at linux.org.au or myself
with details about the two conference tickets attached to the sponsorship
since we would like to offer these to interested community members.  These
addresses can also be used for other correspondance related to the
sponsorship (provision of logos, swag items, banners and so forth).

As per the grant guidelines, Linux Australia request that you provide a
brief report about the activities funded by this grant for inclusion in our
Annual Report.  Since the conference runs on 3-4 Dec 2026, we realise a
full report is unlikely to be ready for inclusion in our 2026 Annual Report. 
In light of this, it would be helpful if you could submit a short
preliminary report by 15 November 2026 to provide a snapshot of preparations
and anything else you feel might be relevant.  The final report could
follow, which we would publish in our 2027 Annual report.  Event photos
cleared for public release would be great to have too.
