As a member of LUV, to the best of my knowledge Linux Victoria is an 
additional name for the organisation and there is only one 
organisation.  Members who meet in person have continued to do so, but 
it appears there are many members on the old mailing list who are not up 
to date; this is not surprising, as the list was not functioning 
correctly until very recently and while I was previously the primary 
list moderator, the software kept kicking me out and eventually I 
couldn't even log in to the web interface, so I gave up and ceased both 
moderating and participating in the broken list.  This was also one of 
the primary motivations for setting up a new list, though the original 
has since been upgraded to newer software and is apparently functioning 
again.
