[Linux-aus] linux.conf.au 2014

Dear Linux Australia community,

Something that has been especially awesome about preparing for
linux.conf.auin Perth next year is how diverse the speaker and
delegates backgrounds
are.  From what we've been hearing, this is thanks to the amazing work done
by individuals and groups in past years aimed at encouraging
under-represented groups to attend open source conferences, and get
involved in the community.

Of course, it's also important to ensure the community and culture is
friendly and open.

So a big thanks to everyone who has put time and work into addressing
diversity issues, and everyone in the community who is friendly and open to
newcomers.

We're looking forward to welcoming all delegates to Perth in January for a
friendly open source technical conference.
