The model constitution (http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/pdfs/About_us/Publications/FT412_Model_Constitution.pdf) only says that members may inspect the roll, limits what may be done with the roll, and provides for members to request that details be elided from the roll.

Looking at our constitution though (https://www.linux.org.au/constitution#Register_of_members) it actually only requires that "The portion of the register of members comprising names of members and dates on which the person became a member must be open for inspection"

So this seems like less of a privacy issue than I'd thought before; but it also means that it won't satisfy Chris' need for email addresses needed to nominate people.

Chris, given that we won't be providing the email addresses, do you still want us to proceed with your request?
