[Linux-aus] Should Linux Australia change its name?

I'm a passionate free software activist. Until a few years ago, I'd 
assumed that Linux Australia was just focussed on technology rather than 
free software ideology.

There's a lot in a name, and if the name implies your values are aligned 
with the Linux Kernel project (where few lead developers advocate free 
software values), people like me will be discouraged.

For several years I've been planning an organisation specifically 
representing Free Software movement in Australia:

I felt there was a significant enough niche to set such an organisation 
apart from Linux Australia, but perhaps with a name change, Linux 
Australia could be this organisation.
