Yes there is but don't relax, there's plenty of work to do yet. It's an
arcane process and OXML seems, amazingly, to have found ways around
several of the barriers intended to stop inappropriate things being made
ISO standards so far. I've been discovering that some things that look
like technical matters are in fact questions of law bearing on
international trade and therefore no technical expertise can help.

To clarify Jonathan's point, Standards Australia need not only an expert
but a pretty rare kind of expert. Hopefully linux-aus can flush one out.
