[Linux-aus] LUG Websites
Hello All,
I would like to take this opportunity to ask that members
encourage their lugs to update and maintain their websites.
I visit every LUG website every fortnight to try and obtain information
to colate for my podcast the LUG Roundup.
A lot of sites have not been updated for months, making
finding information about meetings, almost impossible.
I can speak from experience that there are people that listen to my
podcasts, as my LUG has welcomed new members to both their meetings
and mailing list that have heard about SCLUG via the podcasts.
I'm sure there are people trying to find your LUG and attend meetings.
I also can promote your meetings and events for you if I can find the
information on your site.
Please encourage your sites webmaster to update the site or put your
hand up to maintain it yourself.
Your community can only benifit, I know mine has.
Cherio,
Karin Purser
