Hi,

When it comes to Newbies, don't forget about the FOSS that they may use every day
and do not think about it:

	o Firefox
	o sendmail
	o BIND
	o Apache
	o Embedded
	o Beowulf

or software that works cross-platform:

	o Open Office
	o MySQL

or software that can be used to create portable applications

	o Perl
	o Python

Just because these people may be Newbies to Linux (or GNU/Linux) they may
not be newbies to FOSS.

And yes, you should mention the *BSDs too, and all the good work they are
doing.
