Well, for a start, it would need to be able to run in the GemStone OODBMS, and so would have to be written in Smalltalk. The current MMS runs in a stand-alone Smalltalk environment now, but I expect that we'll move to GemStone as things have to be scaled up. I hope that we have not caused offence with our choices.
