The third incident was at a lunch to discuss open-source software, the 
movement led by companies such as Linux. The moderator asked how many 
people there were using open-source in their companies, or governments. 
Half the hands were raised. 'And how many would consider using it in 
future?' he asked. Almost all the rest went up. 'And who would not 
countenance it?' Only the woman next to me put up her hand: she was a 
Microsoft executive.
