Err, I was listing that as an achievement of LA -- something that had happened -- not an accusation of anything improper. I'd thought getting invited some fancy overseas conference sounded quite impressive, and I was working under the assumption that y'all wouldn't've bothered if it wasn't somehow useful and productive.
