Myself, I am planning to suggest we hold it between Alice Springs and
Darwin.

That's right, ON THE GHAN [assuming, of course, that the train is
operating by 2006 :)]

I figure that we can get a special train chartered, load everyone
aboard, and just ride back and forth. Imagine the scenery! The novelty!
The first ever Linux-Conference-On-A-Moving-Train! We can enjoy the
lushness of Darwin, and the backpackers at Alice Springs as we wait for
them to refuel & turn around the engine and load more beer aboard.

I haven't got a good net uplink figured yet, but I imagine a satellite
dish bolted to the top of the bar car will have something to do with it.
