RE: [Linux-aus] SMH and The Age :)
Kim,
Please don't get me wrong, I admire your efforts, and if you'll accept
it, I would love to
submit my "Midlife Crisis is better with a Penguin" Story.....
And I agree, Sam is very with us.....although, I suspect some PR stuff
has been
emanating more from "http://linuxmafia.org" ...which sort of worries me
as to what is actually
going on.....then again, that could be complete and utter paranoia...:)
Preparation of press releases by others have been around for some time,
however, and I for one
am not about to fight their value for the good of all.......but will
always draw the line in my own case....
I have seen them misused somewhat...
sometimes it's difficult, and the
"line" can blur...
is all I'll say bout that..:)
In your case, in order to get your point across about "linaumag"
well why not...and good on you! I wish I had the time to spare the
effort,
but thank the stars your there to do it.!
BW

Thanks Brent :)
As an aside, I sent a press release to Sam, which he changed alittle BUT
only to put it into a better format, keeping everything I said
attributed to me or the mag, so all errors, misquotes etc are mine :)
Out of interest I did a little research on Sam, and read some of the
things on his own home page.. it appears he is a convert to the land of
penguins as well :).. and we will be carrying some of his words in the
following issues :)
I would guess it isn't his call on the advertising.
Regards
Kim
