Okay.

Here's one for you.

Given the much stated objective of the organisation, in seeing the above
in the signature, what, if anything, can the organisation do to get
Linux certification available to regional areas; available in each
state?

Much has been said about the need for regional representation, and, the
lack of need for regional representation, in the committee of this
organisation.

I have previously commented, on the PLUG list, that it is unfortunate
that the RHCT certification is not available in this state. Red Hat,
from memory, in its published plans for the certification, has no plans
to make the certification available in Australia, outside (from memory)
two eastern states capitals; Sydney and Melbourne. An entity in Perth,
that does some certification, has no published intention, of providing
the certification in WA.

It would be in the interests of the Linux community in Australia, the
Linux community in each state, and, Red Hat in Australia, for the
certification to be available in at least each state capital. This also
applies to each Linux certification of value; if it is of value, it
should be available in each state; a "sine qua non".

So, what can the organisation do, to try to bring this about, and, what
does the organisation intend to do, to bring this about.

I suggest to Pia, as the organisation president, and, to the other
members of the committee, whatever we may think of their degree of
representation, and whatever they may think of the interests of the
different regions in Australia, that this would be a good topic to raise
at the upcoming committee meeting, apart from any resultant discussion
on this list.
