*** eCommerce Software Engineer ***

Aligent is looking for an eCommerce Software Engineer to join our
growing team here in Adelaide. You will be involved in architecting
and building high-complexity and large-scale PHP web applications.


Required Skills and Knowledge
* A passion for developing great software and having the skills to do that
* A software engineering mindset, focused on code quality
* Ability to liaise with clients and other staff and able to take initiative
* Developing for code readability, test driven development, agile
development, & peer review
* Experience developing with git, linux CLIs and IDEs
* Clear and considered communication
* Understanding of how to develop for the cloud, making use of
existing cloud services

Bonus points
* Experience in PHP, Magento, Oro, Laravel, Symfony, Zend, and/or JavaScript
* Familiarity with Centos 7
* Experience in deploying code to public clouds, such as for AWS
* An understanding of CI/CD
* Experience with Linux virtualisation, KVM/QEMU, Docker, VirtualBox
* Proven open-source development experience
