Daily monitoring and maintenance of systems, servers, storage and services, for correct functionality and optimum performance are key responsibilities of this position. There will also be an opportunity to help us extend and enhance OpenStack deployments from the bare metal. We are looking for an operations expert with a few years of experience in Cluster management and operating Openstack environment who also has: a tertiary qualification in computer science and/or other sciences, and equivalent work experience in System Administration, Development, IT Operations / DevOps. a solid understanding of Linux / UNIX preferably in HPC service, datacentre, or cloud computing environment. parallel filesystem knowledge (GPFS, Spectrum Scale, Spectrum Scale Protect). strong scripting skills; we love to automate! Provisioning systems, configuration and change management (Python, Ansible, Puppet) an understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols (Including InfiniBand). You are a team player, excellent at troubleshooting, root cause analysis and generally love to solve technical problems. You will have strong communication skills both written and verbal and be able to articulate technical and non-technical concepts.
