As part of a fast-faced, dynamic engineering team, you'll be focused on  
optimisations where you’ll be working on squeezing microseconds out of our  
high performance trading systems. You'll be working closely with the business  
including our Traders, Software Developers, and Infrastructure Engineers to  
develop a deep understanding of trading strategies and learn about the  
operation of in-house software and the architecture of exchange and broker  
systems.

In this role, you’ll get to play ‘technical detective’, tracking down  
issues and chasing a problem to its root cause as well as working on projects  
to deliver new platforms to production and deploying the latest and greatest  
in releases.

Desired Skills and Experience

We are looking for a solution-oriented engineer who wants to have a direct  
impact on the business. Someone who is analytically minded, loves to solve  
problems and is driven by customer satisfaction. An enjoy who might consider  
themselves a bit of a technical generalist with the aptitude to constantly  
learn and apply your new skills. If you're a team player with a ‘can-do’  
attitude who believes in collaboration loves understanding how applications  
work and how the system fits together, this is the role for you.

Your skills

You’re a proactive and customer focused technologist with a broad and  
ever-growing knowledge of various technologies, operating systems and  
languages.
Relevant experience working in System Administration, Development, IT  
Operations / DevOps/ Release management or any technical role that requires  
complex troubleshooting, incident management and production support
A solid understanding of Linux / UNIX
Strong scripting skills; we love to automate!
You are excellent at troubleshooting, root cause analysis and generally love  
to solve technical problems
An understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols
A team player
Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal and be able to  
articulate technical and non-technical concepts
Must be passionate about technology and be committed to continuously  
improving
