hands on with the day-to-day maintenance of a large and well-known Drupal 7  
website.

About the company

This is a growing digital agency with a current team size of around 12 -15.  
They only build and maintain proper websites, no banners and EDMs here.  
Friendly, flexible and casual but with a strong and professional focus on  
best practices and the latest digital technology, this is an agency that is  
growing and wants to focus on growing the right way. Located close to the  
city with easy public transport access and plenty of quality coffee shops in  
the area.


About the role

The PHP / Drupal Leader is not only a technically competent Snr Developer but  
also someone who has leadership ability and wants to get involved in shaping  
the technology stack and workflows of a digital agency. Responsibilities will  
include improving the current website for best practice as well as building  
new features and modules.

Too many times, Snr Developers complain that agencies don’t build and test  
the right way. This is your chance to influence change.

What you’ll do

- Research and implement new technologies
- Write technical specifications for new applications
- Provide subject matter expertise and advice
- Lead & mentor development team
- Implement and administer Quality Assurance of all technical outputs across  
the agency
- Confidently present to clients and be able to succinctly explain complex  
technical solutions in an easily understood way


To be successful, you will need

- At least 3 years of Development Manager / Lead Dev. or similar experience,  
with a focus on Drupal 7
- Experience designing or building websites for multiple devices and  
interactions (such as desktops and touch devices like smartphones and  
tablets)
- Strong knowledge and experience of cross-browser/platform testing,  
identifying and resolving bugs
- Commercial experience building with PHP MVC frameworks with an expertise in  
Drupal 7
- Coding proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, (AngularJS a bonus)
- Proficiency working with Amazon Web Services (application deployment, DB  
management, etc…)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills and experience designing solutions in an  
agile environment
