About the company

This start up company was established in 2014, with the mission to launch

Working closely with the R&D Team Leader and Company Founder, you will  
contribute to the production of secure & reliable application software for  
private cloud computing. The team includes 2 PhD and 3 Masters graduates and

About the role

We are after a top end software developer, preferably with recent production  
Python experience that is looking for a unique opportunity that will provide  
incredible knowledge, learning and development possibilities. You will be  
someone who enjoys a high level of technical challenge and has a record of  
solving complex problems.

Ideally you have some commercial experience where you have written code that  
was sold. If you do not have commercial experience, you will be able to show  
how you have contributed to open source or personal projects, or even your  
own hobbies. You may also have a history of winning mathematics, science and  
computer programming awards.

Some of the things you?ll be doing:

- Researching and developing cryptographic systems for desktop/mobile devices
- Researching and developing digital signing and robust watermarking systems
- Researching and developing technologies for providing privacy and security  
on public networks

Some basic skills we?d be expecting you to have:

- High quality Python and C programming skills

Our systems run CentOS with some NFS clustering. Server services run, among  
other things, RADIUS, VPNs, VPSs, Helpdesk ticketing and Net flow collection.

current legislation. Our servers interact with major institutions, including  
banks and Government run systems that use encryption technologies and APIs.

THE ROLE
This role requires the successful individual to an entrepreneurial style  
understanding of what the company is delivering and to facilitate that vision  
in collaboration with management.
This is a work from ?anywhere you like? position, due to the nature and  
autonomy of the role.
All Projects are implemented while ensuring security, scalability and  
flexibility are at the forefront of the core design.

Collaboration via online meetings is an essential part of the role along with  
advising on technological constraints and proposing substitute or superior

WHAT YOU?LL DO BETWEEN PROJECTS
You will automate everything possible and implement and update current server  
scripts, software and security packages. You will use penetration testing to  
ensure security.
You will collaborate with the Helpdesk and Billing and continually streamline

problem free and as efficient as possible. You will implement, test and  
document disaster recovery and backup plans. Most importantly you will love

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED
?	Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Scientific Linux or similar
?	A sound understanding of related technologies, including DNS, RADIUS, IP  
routing, VPN, firewall, HTML, MTAs, Clustering and system monitoring;
?	Solid Shell Scripting, PHP, MySQL and Version control.
?	You will be able to adapt to new technologies quickly and turn your hand  
to the technical challenges that might confront you.
?	You will have excellent English skills and understand regular Australian  
idioms.
?	You will possess a committed and reliable personality and be able work on  
your own. You will be communicative and productive and be able to rise to the  
occasion at times of high pressure.
?	Ruby, Perl, Python C, C++ or Ajax would be advantageous.
