My client is a global corporation who provides world class leading IT  
solutions. They currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Channels  
focussed Solution Architect with hands-on Linux background. The successful  
candidate will take part in pre-sales activities and explain the benefits of  
their products to their partners and customers; working closely with them on  
various specific initiatives including custom training, technical  
proof-of-concepts, customer engagements, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

•Provide pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation  
of partner initiatives.
•Confidently present solutions to customers and partners in large groups
• Own the technical relationships with System Integrators, Distribution  
partners and Vendors
•Develop and implement technical enablement plans to partners
•Educate partners on the capabilities of software products, conduct live  
demonstrations, and assist in the setup of reference environments.
•Identify the appropriate technologies to match partner needs and provide  
architectural guidance.
•Work with partners on specific engagements to ensure the successful  
implementation of software products.
•Work closely with partners to develop joint go-to-market initiatives and  
point solutions to realize the synergies between their respective product  
lines.
•Develop reusable methodologies, tools, and capabilities that combine  
products and services into solutions to solve complex customer challenges.
•Act as a liaison between partners and product Business Units.
•Maintain technical expertise across product sets and offerings.

Required Skills & Experience:

•In-depth technical experience with Linux.RHCE/RHCA highly desirable but  
not mandatory.
•Technical translation skills - the ability to explain technical concepts  
to non-technical audiences.
•Good presentation skills to both small and large groups of mixed  
backgrounds (business, technical, management etc.).
•Knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts
•Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering,  
Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred.

$130 K base + bonus + super.
Some travel is involved (Interstate and New Zealand)
