Kernel Hackers, Full Time

Open Kernel Labs is a new, fast-growing, company that is developing microkernel and virtualisation technology for the embedded-systems industry and it is looking to expand its developer team in Sydney, Australia.

We are interested in applicants with a variety of experience levels, from fresh graduates (with strong programming experience) to experienced systems programmers and team leaders.  Prerequisites are:

    <ul>
      <li>
	Strong C programming skills
      </li>
      <li>
	The ability to work on and understand large software systems
      </li>
      <li>
	An understanding of Operating System internals
      </li>
      <li>
	An understanding of the Open Source development process
      </li>
    </ul>

Any of the following would be a plus:

    <ul>
      <li>
	Experience in kernel development, particularly on L4,
	Darwin/MacOS X, or Linux
      </li>
      <li>
	Experience in Embedded and/or Real Time development,
	especially on ARM or x86
      </li>
      <li>
	Experience in developing software tools, build and test
	systems
      </li>
      <li>
	Knowledge of Python, Assembler and/or IDL
      </li>
    </ul>
