Applications Support - Middlew, Full Time

Dynamic Telco has a newly created opportunity to join our small Unix/Linux Applications Support Team. This is a key position exposed to a diverse range of technologies in a complex and fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:
-	Provide operational support of our large-scale Unix/Linux based applications.
-	Technical support of the Production, UAT and Development environments including installation, configuration and patching.
-	Release management.
-	Troubleshooting and problem solving of application faults, defects, issues, and critical enhancements.
-	Proactive infrastructure and application monitoring using BMC Patrol.

Skills Required:
-	It’s essential that you can demonstrate some development (in at least two of the following - shell scripting, Perl, Java, SQL) skills and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
-	Knowledge of either/both Sun Solaris or Redhat Enterprise Linux 4 as well as previous production support experience would be considered favorably.
-	Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
-	Familiarity with any of the following would be a distinct advantage - BEA Weblogic, Apache, PostgreSQL, DNS, Oracle - PL/SQL, JBoss, Tomcat, Radiator, LDAP.
