Linux System Administrator, Full Time

A new permanent opportunity for a Linux system administrator has arisen within 
a prominent Australian web hosting company based in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
<p>You will be primarily responsible for the provisioning and on-going maintenance 
  of a Linux web server farm and will also handle customer support.</p>
<p>You will have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Linux system administrator 
  with excellent knowledge of Apache, MySQL, BIND, PostgreSQL and Qmail. This 
  new opportunity will utilise your strong analytical and problem solving skills.</p>
<p>It is essential that you have a dedicated to providing outstanding customer 
  service and have the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent phone 
  and written manner is a must.</p>
<p>Key responsibilities in this role include:<br>
  - &quot;Red Hat&quot; Linux system administration, implementation and support.<br>
  - Installation and upgrades of both application and system software.<br>
  - Pro-active implementation of new technologies.<br>
  - Monitor system availability, resources and security, with the ability to respond 
  to issues as they arise.<br>
  - Liaising with hardware and connectivity suppliers to resolve issues.<br>
  - Provide consulting and pre-sales services to customers.</p>
