    Linux systems developer required for Satellite router project
    <p>

      URSYS Pty. Ltd. produces Linux based routers and network appliances
      specialising in wide area VPNs over broadband satellite and terrestrial
      services.  URSYS partners with Telstra and Ericsson communications for
      the provision of network solutions for Telstra's Hughes and Itera
      satellite systems. Our activities include both the development of
      network devices plus the remote monitoring, management and support of
      operational networks.
    <p>
      We require experienced LINUX systems engineers to join our existing
      team for ongoing development of this product family.  Detailed
      knowledge of Linux Debian systems is essential, along with a real
      interest in systems level software.  A command of C, perl and unix
      scripting tools will be necessary.  Experience with CLI
      implementations would be a distinct advantage.
    <p>
      The position is a permanent one.  The development and support team is
      located at our Burwood office in Sydney..

      Applicants need not possess all the skills listed below, but the more the
      better. 
    <ul>
      <li> Strong networking skills. 
      <li> Strong network troubleshooting 
      <li> General Cisco knowledge.
	<ul>	
	  <li> Configuration and troubleshooting
	  <li> Cisco routers: 8xx, 25xx, 26xx, 4xxx series.  
	</ul>
      <li> Dialup technologies.
	<ul>
	  <li> Lucent max series.
	  <li> ISDN and PSTN. 
	</ul>
      <li> VPN technologies:
	<ul>	
	  <li> ipsec: Deployment and troubleshooting
	  <li> PKI (openssl).
	</ul>
      <li> Security:
	<ul>
	  <li> firewalling (iptables).
	  <li> Intrusion detection
	</ul>
      <li> internet services:
	<ul>
	  <li> dns (bind)
	  <li> mail (exim)
	  <li> pop imap (cyrus)
	  <li> web (apache)
	  <li> proxy (squid)
	  <li> ldap (openldap)
	</ul>
      <li> linux administration:
	<ul>
	  <li> Shell programming.
	  <li> Perl awk sed etc.
	  <li> C programming skills
	  <li> understanding of the Debian package management system 
	</ul>
      <li> General Web development skills.
	<ul>
	  <li>
	    including - Perl CGI programming.
	</ul>
