Point of Clarification

AuckLUG's mailing list still exists - it's just their meetup group 
that's shut down.
I agree with the statement that I don't think it's the mailing lists 
that are the issue, it's more the meetings themselves (whether online or 
IRL).

Additional datapoint - the NZLUG mailing list is ... broken... has been 
for some time... and I havn't had opportunity (nor perhaps the skillset, 
admittedly - it's well outside of my BAU wheelhouse these days) to try 
to restore it... and it was very quiet anyway. So it's in the roundtuit 
list but that was basically only a mailing list anyway (and there are 
many other forums).

My perception is that Linux Australia... 'things' are available to Kiwis 
the same as they are to Aussies, it's not like Membership to LA is 
problematic.
