[eo-announce] Call for Sessions extended and early bird registrations open!

Hello everyone!

Firstly, we're aware of an issue with account management on the website. Thank you for bearing with us while this gets sorted. 
Now onto the exciting news:

*Early Bird Registrations Open*

Everything Open tickets are now on sale for our return to Brisbane/Meanjin on 20-22 January 2027.  
Early bird tickets are available at a discount, but they will sell out, so get yours now.

*Call for Sessions Extended to September **20th *

You now have until September 20th to get your talk submissions in.  Everything Open welcomes talks from seasoned speakers to new people. We are a very welcoming space and we want you to help us make EO the best conference it can be.

Our theme for this year is “Building the Future Together”, and the specialist tracks are:
 - Kernel Development, hosted by Jeremy Kerr
 - Operations and Security in Practice, hosted by Simon Lyall and Danishka Navin
 - Opening the Public Sector, hosted by Sam Hames

*Submission Workshops*

If you are unsure as to what to write or how to write it, Sae Ra from the Session Selection Committee will be running two workshops on putting together a submission, provide some insights as to what the SSC are looking for, and work through some rough drafts to get you started.  The two workshops are at:
 • Thursday 10th of September at 12pm (Melbourne Time)
 • Thursday 10th of September at 7pm (Melbourne Time)
If you are interested in attending, please email eo_ssc at saeragermaine.au with your preferred session and Sae Ra will send through a calendar invite with connection details. If there is enough interest there may be opportunities to run extra sessions the following week.
