I have downloaded Debian 32bit Disk Image iso file and burned to USB drive but it will not boot. What am I doing wrong? Off the top of my head. 1. Is your computer really 32 bit? That would make it quite old. Most computers can/should run the x64 instead. 2. Did you check the checksum of the image after you downloaded it? Important. 3. Did the burn actually succeed? Try a different burning tool. Ideally use dd on another linux machine 4. Does the USB work fine in a different computer? 5. Is the BIOS set to boot from USB? 6. Have you tried a different USB stick? Weirdly, this can really matter. If you followed some instructions it would be good to provide them here so we know what you did with more detail. Kind regards, Hoolio PS: You may or may not get replies to this list; it all depends who's around and who cares enough to reply. AFAIK a stock Windows box won't read a Debian install ISO, let alone write one.
