<p dir="ltr">Check with your credit card company as well. Mine charges just a flat 3 percent on the credit card transaction, with no minimum fee (with just about anything else, there's usually a minimum fee of $10 it so. Ouch.)</p>
<p dir="ltr">I prefer that option vs cash anyway, since I don't wind up with leftover cash at the end that I unnecessarily paid exchange on, and then have to pay exchange again to turn it back to my native currency.</p>

I asked the front desk of the hotel where to go to change some US dollars to Australian, and they sent me to the cashier at the casino. Big mistake – they took a $10 charge for exchanging $60. A much better option would be to just withdraw the cash you want from an ATM against your bank card.<br>
