I did this run this morning….a nice mix of road and trail <a href="http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/fullscreen/126250977/">http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/fullscreen/126250977/</a> if anybody's interested. You can cut it a lot shorter by just going around the
reservoirs and coming straight back (about 9-10km then).

At last year's PyCon AU, I discovered that I wasn't the only person going<br>
out for a run around town before the conference started each day.<br>

So if you are interested in having some social runs at PyCon AU, some of<br>
us will be heading out each day.<br>

The (very loose) plan is:<br>

<br>
1. On the Saturday and Sunday<br>
<br>
5km runs on the Saturday and Sunday morning, leaving from outside the main<br>
entrance of the Casino at 7am sharp.<br>
<br>
The aim is for a social pace of about 5.5min/kms, so we are back by 7:30,<br>
giving everyone time to shower and eat before the conference starts at<br>
9am.<br>
<br>
I'm very open to suggestions for routes, but the tentative plan is to run<br>
(north west) to the Cascade Brewery one day, and then out (south east) to<br>
Alexandra Battery Lookout the other day.<br>
<br>
Both courses are out-and-back, so if you drop off the back, we can pick<br>
you up on the way home!<br>

2. On the Monday and Tuesday<br>
<br>
Longer runs for anyone interested, again starting at 7am. I'm flexible on<br>
distances and routes - if you are up for a run to the top of Mt Wellington<br>
and back, I'm there :)<br>

What if it rains one morning? Drizzle: I'm still running. Torrential<br>
downpour: text me on the morning (0412 615 126) to see how masochistic I'm<br>
feeling...<br>
