<div>Hello everyone!<br></div><div><br></div><div>Here’s a quick snapshot of recent announcements, and looming (but extended) deadlines.<br></div><div><br></div><div><b>T-shirt deadline extended!</b><br></div><div>There’s <a href="https://2026.pycon.org.au/posts/t-shirt-deadline-extended/" style="word-break:break-word">one week left</a> to secure a t-shirt in your preferred size (and colour). We’ve been working with our suppliers and have extended the deadline for shirt sizes until <b>9am AEST next Tuesday 4 August 2026</b>. <br></div><div><br></div><div>You can update your t-shirt size by visiting the order page emailed to you, or re-send your order link by visiting <a href="https://pretix.eu/pyconau/2026/resend/" style="word-break:break-word">https://pretix.eu/pyconau/2026/resend/</a><br></div><div><br></div><div><b>Wear it purple at PyCon AU</b><br></div><div>This year <a href="https://2026.pycon.org.au/posts/wear-it-purple-at-pycon-au/" style="word-break:break-word">happens to fall on Wear It Purple Day</a> (Friday 28 August), and we’re giving everyone the option to request their conference shirt in purple!<br></div><div><br></div><div>Details are on the new “<a href="https://2026.pycon.org.au/attend/wear-it-purple/" style="word-break:break-word">Wear It Purple</a>” page, including how you can update your order or add extra shirts to your registration. Opt in to request purple shirts <b>before 9am on Tuesday 4 August</b>, or bring your own purple outfit to the conference.<br></div><div><br></div><div>Purple is optional of course, but what's not to love about a purple outfit‽ <br></div><div><br></div><div><b>Keynote Announcements</b><br></div><div>We’re excited to welcome <a href="https://2026.pycon.org.au/schedule/NDWRBS/" style="word-break:break-word">Liz Fong-Jones</a> (<a href="https://2026.pycon.org.au/schedule/thursday/" style="word-break:break-word">Thursday</a>), <a href="https://2026.pycon.org.au/schedule/BYLBNB/" style="word-break:break-word">Cam Wilson</a> (<a href="https://2026.pycon.org.au/schedule/friday/" style="word-break:break-word">Friday</a>), and <a href="https://2026.pycon.org.au/schedule/X79GWF/" style="word-break:break-word">Justin Warren</a> (<a href="https://2026.pycon.org.au/schedule/saturday/" style="word-break:break-word">Saturday</a>) to kick off each day of the conference.
