<div>Hello everyone!<br></div><div><br></div><div>I’m thrilled to share that PyCon AU 2026 is now looking for talk proposals!<br></div><div><br></div><div>Our CFP is open from now through to 29 March 2029, Anywhere on Earth.<br></div><div><br></div><div>If you’ve submitted to PyCon AU in the past, you’ll notice we’ve revamped our documentation for applying to speak. Our guidelines have been updated for 2026, so please take some time to familiarise yourself with how best to put forward a successful proposal this year.<br></div><div><br></div><div><b>Everything you need to know is at </b><a href="https://2026.pycon.org.au/cfp" style="word-break:break-word"><b>https://2026.pycon.org.au/cfp</b></a><b>.</b><br></div><div><br></div><div>You can submit your talks using the same familiar software, Pretalx, where you’ll note we now have six <a href="https://2026.pycon.org.au/cfp/specialist-tracks/" style="word-break:break-word">specialist tracks</a> listed!<br></div><div><br></div><ul><li>Cybersecurity<br></li><li>Data & AI<br></li><li>DevRel<br></li><li>Education<br></li><li>Platform Engineering<br></li><li>Research Software Engineering<br></li></ul><div>In addition to 30 minute talks, we’re also interested in hearing your proposals for poster sessions, and longer classroom format tutorials/workshops.<br></div><div><br></div><div>PyCon AU cares extensively about creating a great speaker experience and that means welcoming seasoned presenters as well as first time speakers. We’re hosting a series of CFP workshops around Australia and online - so find a <a href="https://2026.pycon.org.au/cfp/workshops/" style="word-break:break-word">workshop near you</a> and polish up that talk idea you’ve been meaning to submit.<br></div><div><br></div><div>And if those announcements aren’t enough, we’ve also opened up applications for financial assistance to attend the conference in Brisbane.
