I've turned it off for now, but still think this was a useful experiment. Best, K. TL;DR: we got there, but with issues. What you need to know The authoritative page is now: https://www.facebook.com/linuxconferenceaustralia URLs for other Facebook pages will now redirect to this address, including https://www.facebook.com/linuxconfau How long this redirection will occur for is unknown, but the (poorly arranged and useless) documentation suggests it will be permanent. If it is not, I will attempt to change the name back to /linuxconfau to match Twitter and the domain name. Other info Bruce and James, you have been given God Powers on the page - when you're ready, update the page with Sydney 2018 branding. A smattering of Council have also been given God Powers so that we can transition to 2019, 2020 and so on smoothly in the future (no reflection on 2018 that transition will be anything other than smooth). The 'likes' from the other pages have transferred over to this Page (this was painful to do and I won't speak of it here, lest it unleash demonic spirits). This means the Page has over 630 'Likes' now and should be a strong promotional tool. 2018 team - you should think about how Facebook will be used as a Marketing channel as part of your Marketing and Promotions plan. As always, questions and comments warmly welcomed.
