geeky interest do you have any info I could pilfer?
(20:35:11) KatteKrab: bazzawilleee: where's your lug again? I forget
these things.
(20:35:14) ***KatteKrab is an old lady

(20:42:40) harrisony: elky: lag sucks
(20:42:43) Dunearhp: howdy
(20:42:57) KatteKrab: anyone else got any lug news?
(20:43:09) KatteKrab: elky: was there elections? or just changing of the
guard?
(20:43:25) elky: KatteKrab, agm and elections
(20:43:30) KatteKrab: well congrats!
(20:43:42) elky: there's actually 3 slug ctte in the chan at the moment
(20:43:48) KatteKrab: I spose we should all be thinking about software
freedom day preparatiosn again soon ey?
(20:43:59) KatteKrab: yama... although possibly not here. who else?
(20:44:03) ***harrisony :D
(20:44:35) elky: harrisony is an OCM and probably our youngest ever ctte
member
(20:44:53) noisymime: bazzawillee: I'll have a chat with the guy who did
the presentation. It was fairly informal but he covered all the bases on
his slides so they're not a bad base
(20:45:11) KatteKrab: heh - congrats harrisony!
(20:45:35) KatteKrab: Dunearhp: where are you signing in from?
(20:46:09) bazzawilleee: cool I'll have to check them out there is
probably tons of info on the net just haven't got round to it yet cheers
(20:46:32) Dunearhp: brisbane, I noticed the mail on linux-aus and
signed in out of interest
(20:46:58) KatteKrab: Dunearhp: cool :) and welcome. Are you involved
in organising Humbug? or purely here out of curiosity?
(20:47:21) KatteKrab: hey - what does everyone do for web-hosting?
Sponsored? just using a members box?
(20:48:06) elky: slug is sponsored
(20:48:08) Dunearhp: was on humbug exec for a while, not at the moment
(20:49:00) KatteKrab: Dunearhp: ok cool.
(20:49:14) KatteKrab: elky: yeah - LUV too. we are hosted at VPAC -
same as linux australia
(20:49:38) KatteKrab: Hmmm - my dinner has arrived. So I might have to
sign off early tonight.
(20:49:45) ***cafuego would like his president back kthx
(20:49:47) elky: KatteKrab, cool (i already knew that :P)
(20:50:17) elky: KatteKrab, i think the meeting is pretty much over
anyway
(20:50:18) KatteKrab: for others - there's been some talk about using
LA-aus resources for LUG websites....
(20:50:31) KatteKrab: so would be interesting to hear more about that.
(20:50:43) elky: KatteKrab, yeah, but it's still in planning stages so
there's nothing new to hear
(20:50:44) KatteKrab: someone want to volunteer to post transcript to
the mailing list?
(20:52:25) noisymime: KatteKrab: Blug has a server hosted by the uni,
but if domain hosting was available it'd be a help
(20:53:38) KatteKrab: ok right.
(20:53:55) KatteKrab: so yeah - I reckon we should post to lugcomms for
a quick poll of what the situation is.
(20:54:20) elky: there are currently two initiatives in planning stage
at the moment. firstly a VM scheme by Linux Aus that requires some
hardware replacement before it can get going and secondly a set and
forget software stack. I dont know the status of the latter at all.
(20:54:23) KatteKrab: perhaps it's a non-issue for most people, but
there might be the odd detail like that.
(20:55:01) KatteKrab: elky: cool :)
(20:55:19) KatteKrab: and on that note... I'm outta here for dindins.
(20:55:24) harrisony: if there was the VM scheme would tha tbe open to
similar groups (such as wordcamp australia the wordpress confrence)?
(20:55:26) KatteKrab: have fun ppl!
(20:55:27) elky: ciao
(20:55:54) elky: harrisony, that's undecided yet, but possible.
(20:55:54) KatteKrab: oh - can someone post transcript for me?
(20:56:37) cafuego: harrisony: thanks for volunteering ;-)
