Grant application: Sponsorship of Write the Docs Australia 2026 conference<br>

Your sponsorship request for the Write the Docs conference was discussed by<br>
the Linux Australia Council at its meeting on 9 September 2026.  It is our<br>
pleasure to inform you that your application was successful -<br>
congratulations!<br>

This grant is to sponsor the Write the Docs Australia 2026 conference at the<br>
"First Draft" level, an amount of $1500.<br>
<br>
Please email the Linux Australia treasurer (<a href="mailto:treasurer@linux.org.au" target="_blank">treasurer@linux.org.au</a>) to<br>
arrange payment.  When known, please contact <a href="mailto:council@linux.org.au" target="_blank">council@linux.org.au</a> or myself<br>
with details about the two conference tickets attached to the sponsorship<br>
since we would like to offer these to interested community members.  These<br>
addresses can also be used for other correspondance related to the<br>
sponsorship (provision of logos, swag items, banners and so forth).<br>

As per the grant guidelines, Linux Australia request that you provide a<br>
brief report about the activities funded by this grant for inclusion in our<br>
Annual Report.  Since the conference runs on 3-4 Dec 2026, we realise a<br>
full report is unlikely to be ready for inclusion in our 2026 Annual Report. <br>
In light of this, it would be helpful if you could submit a short<br>
preliminary report by 15 November 2026 to provide a snapshot of preparations<br>
and anything else you feel might be relevant.  The final report could<br>
follow, which we would publish in our 2027 Annual report.  Event photos<br>
cleared for public release would be great to have too.<br>
