Thanks for your grant request. Speaking as a member rather
than as Secretary, I do have some questions about Growstuff
and the funding request; <br>

grant were awarded and $2k were granted, but the $10k figure
were not reached, would the money be returned to Linux
Australia? <br>

We could do this either of two ways: 1) We return the money if
we're unable to reach $10k, or 2) Your sponsorship is used to
support a proportionally smaller amount of work, which I would do
myself rather than hiring a contractor. This is the basic plan for
the fundraising overall... if we don't reach $10k, we won't be
able to hire another developer to work on the project (it's not
much worth hiring someone for less than a month), but the funds
would be used to pay me to do a proportional amount of the work on
my own.<br>

FYI we don't use Github for our issue tracker, but Pivotal Tracker
(<a moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
href="http://tracker.growstuff.org">http://tracker.growstuff.org</a>).<br>
<br>
At present we haven't laid out our exact priorities/tasks as part
of the job is to consult with API users and our developer
community about what they need. However, for your reference I
have put all the deliverables we have discussed so far in PT under
the "API project" epic, in rough order that we think we'd be
likely to deliver them based on dependencies etc. You can find
them near the top of the "icebox" on the right hand side of the
screen.<br>
<br>
As an indication, if we meet the $10k minimum goal, we'd expect to
create the v1 API framework and crops API, and at least 4 demo
apps in various languages, with documentation, etc within that
timeframe. Further work on the API would continue at whatever
pace our volunteer developers could manage. <br>

Not at present, though we're talking to some other orgs as well.<br>
