Call for Proposals (CFP) opened on the 9th July, and the quality of
submissions so far has been fantastic. There has been some requests
for extension from potential speakers, and we want to make sure that
everyone </span></font></font><font color="#000000"><font face="Arial"><span style="background-color:transparent">has
</span></font></font><font color="#000000"><font face="Arial"><span style="background-color:transparent">a
chance to have their proposal considered! Originally scheduled to be
closed on Sunday 13th July, the papers committee has agreed to extend
the deadline until midnight Sunday 20th July as we know there are
more stories out there that deserve attention.</span></font></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:114%"><font><font color="#000000"><font face="Arial">For
those of you still considering submitting a proposal, there is only
one rule:</font></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:114%"><font><font color="#000000"><font face="Arial">Your
proposal must be related to open source</font></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:114%"><font><font color="#000000"><font face="Arial">This
year the papers committee is going to be focused on open source in
education as well as our usual focus on deep technical content.</font></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:114%">
