      Disability Support Service.&nbsp; Approaching them might be a good
      thing.&nbsp; They would be best placed to advise on venue specific
      issues in regard to LCA2014.<br>

      Also approaching specialist disability support groups such as
      Vision Australia, Deaf Australia, Physical Disability Australia
      etc should also be useful.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This works 2 ways!&nbsp; 1.&nbsp; LA/LCA
      organisers gets advice and assistance they need. 2.&nbsp; These
      organisations gets more familiar with Linux and the Linux/Foss
      Community.&nbsp; When LUV participated in the organisation of&nbsp;
      disability events in Melbourne, in providing speakers and being
      involved on the organising Committee, it was obvious that the
      interest (and respect) that the Disability support group showed in
      Linux was much improved as a result. <br>

              For example many don't realise wheel chair accessible is
              more than ramps and elevators. <br>
              When I was briefly in a wheel chair I had problems with
              inadequate turning room, fast closing elevator doors,
              elevator door sensors too high and narrow doorways that
              required the perfect angle and dragging myself by the door
              frame to get through.<br>
