An interesting proposal, and "open food" (! :-) seems to translate nicely into LinuxAU's broader "open" philosophy/mission.<br><br>My major question relates to the organisation's sustainability, ie. being a new organisation, how can we be sure that this essentially "up front" investment will translate into meaningful outcomes?<br>
<br>As a contrast, investing in an organisation or activity that has a track record is a far easier decision, eg. BarCamp has run successfully a number of times, supporting them for their next event is very likely to translate into similar benefits as previous events.<br>
<br>With a new social enterprise, a significant amount of the future of the organisation is based on goodwill and interest from volunteers. It's possible that LinuxAU could do its bit, but that the organisation itself could flounder after 6 months?<br>
