My feeling is that this is a bit of a no-brainer and we'd be
happy to
support it. However I'm not sure if we would want it supported
as an
on-going committee. For example, not even LCA is an ongoing
committee as
the members are new every year. Personally I'd prefer to just
have a
simple email each year saying "this is the new team" and we
can go from
there.
Your thoughts?
Happy either way. BarCampMelbourne is well established.
What are the implications of a recurring vs reconstituted
subcommittee each year?
Once again I apologise for the confusion. The tweet is (as far
as I
know) slightly incorrect as we are not 'sponsoring' the
barcamp. It is
more that barcamp is a Linux Australia ran event and that we
are
supporting it.
This is my responsibility - sorry Ben and Josh - overzealous with
the Tweeting.
