<br><b>Person Responsible for Request:</b> Jason Conroy (<a href="mailto:jason@findingsimple.com" target="_blank">jason@findingsimple.com</a>) <br><br><b>Request: </b><br><br>I would like to apply for a grant to help support the organisation of WordCamp Australia 2010. The aim is to hold the event in early December this year (2010).<br>

<br>WordPress is an Open Source publishing platform and the aim of the event is the promotion of blogging in Australia using the WordPress publishing platform and to facilitate 
communication within the Australian blogging and open source community.<br><br>Grant monies would go directly to the funding of specific conference costs such as insurance (approx $800-$1500) to meet venue booking requirements and help ensure that the event goes ahead. Any additional assistance that the association could provide to help the event would also be greatly appreciated.<br>
