The most tragic story about voter ignorance/misunderstanding I heard was
where someone on the way out of a voting station went over to congratulate
the Greens supporters, saying "I supported the greens. I put Labor first
then Greens second" (in a safe labor seat, but she didn't want to waste
her vote).
