Like many things, the conference pricing is perhaps based on a 'cost 
plus' basis. Costs are divided amonst participants. It doesn't cost 
anymore to have Gina along than a pensioner - conversely - it doesn't 
cost any less.

Yes, it could be a struggle for a pensioner to find the money for this, 
but equally so a younger person with a family, mortgage, kids etc.

There were a few older people who volunteered last year to help out.
