It was brought to their attention a year ago, but it unsurprisingly 
seems nothing was done about it, even though it would take little effort 
to extract emails from the member database and add them into the 
announce lists subscriber list.

Just like the ridiculous delays on this lists mail server, which also 
has not been fixed.
