It has nothing to do with it. There are numerous unions who are affiliated
with the ACTU and which are not affiliated with the ALP. This includes
APESMA, the NTEU, the AEU, etc.

Whilst there is some crossover, which is hardly surprising given that they
nominally organisations representing the interests of working people in
industry and parliament, it is a fallacy to equate the two.
